We came to Blackberry Bramble for a long weekend getaway to relax and see some friends who live nearby. The cabin was new, super clean and lovely--still even smelled like the beautiful wood beams of which it is built! Unfortunately, we encountered an issue that there was no WiFi or cell service and we were not able to stay because of that. I'd say be careful to make sure there is service if you will need it (if you want to unplug, it's the place for you!), but it certainly is a lovely, brand new cabin and would have been a great place if we could have stayed. Hocking Lodging did make it right with us and I've revised this review to reflect their efforts. I appreciate that they fixed things and did the right thing. Nice people :).
A great place to disconnect from stress and worry and connect to peace and tranquility! Definitely will be back!!
Great place to have a family Thanksgiving weekend. Beautiful cabin and location.
We just left The Heartland Lodge and it by far exceeded our expectations. The cabin was gorgeous and extremely clean. We had 17 people stay with us and everyone slept comfortably. Don’t get me started about the clouds they call beds. Lol.We had a small problem with the sink and there was someone that came to fix it within minutes. We will be booking every year, the weekend before Christmas because my whole family loved it and said they wish they didn’t have to leave.10/10 would recommend The HEARTLAND LODGE to everyone. Great job Hocking Lodging Company
Dogwood manor was beautiful with plenty of room for everyone. We had 7 couples and everyone had their own bedroom. The only suggestions would be 2 drip coffeemakers instead of just one. Also the outdoor seating area needs a bigger coffee table and side tables for the couches and chairs.
We stayed in Trail Ridge cabin for 2 nights. The cabin was clean, cozy, secluded, and exactly what we were looking for. I have already recommended it to several friends and family members. The hot tub was amazing. The wrap around porch was so peaceful. My husband and I sat outside on the back porch and played board games and enjoyed the hot tub. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful weekend away and that’s exactly what we got. I think the location for this specific cabin in the grouping is perfect. It is tucked nicely off the gravel drive, felt very private. Perfect!
Trail Ridge cabin was a nice backyard getaway. We live an hour and a half away and we have been to the trails before just never stayed in a cabin. So this year we decided to get a cabin to stay a few days. Trail Ridge was the perfect spot for a couples retreat. It was very clean upon arrival and had all we needed for a quiet getaway. It rained the two days we were there but that’s okay because we were able to sit in the wrap around porch and enjoy the sounds of the rain. We enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying our meals on the deck. The only problem we had was the toilet. When flushing you have to be careful to listen to see if the valve in the tank closed or you would hear the water running and the tank not filling. Otherwise it was a great cabin. If you stay at one of the cabins, there is a grocery store called Grandma Faye’s and you can find what you need. Just remember to take cash because their WiFi was down due to the storms and their credit card and atm will be down. Cedar falls trail is the closest trail to hike. But the Hocking Hills park is not too far from the cabin. We will be booking again in the fall to see the fall colors in the trees.
Me and my wife got the buckeye loft and OMG was it beautiful came with a covered hot tub along with a beautiful pond right behind the cabin!!! Everything was so cost efficient for us. I'm 100% making that cabin out annual vacation. Everything was conveniently close to us we seem all the caves around the area along with renting a pontoon at a local marina it was so much fun and the landscape in general is stunning 10/10 recommended about 10 people so far!!!!
WHITE TAIL RIDGE CABIN:Beautiful Cabin — Peaceful Stay with a Few Things to KnowWe had a great stay at this beautiful, peaceful cabin. It was clean, well-kept, and the air conditioning worked really well—which was a relief in the July heat. The setting is quiet and scenic, and it's a great place to relax. We traveled with 4 adults and two teenagers. The downstairs space with the games was fun for both the kids (and adults). We had consistent rain during our stay, so we didn’t have the chance to use the fire pit or hot tub, but both looked very inviting. The kitchen was stocked with a variety of cookware. If you plan to cook you will need to provide all food related items, including Salt & Pepper. The cupboards had some spices and a little bit of cooking oil.The proximity to Old Man’s Cave and other hiking areas was awesome. There is a wonderful little store called Grandma Faye’s that is a 5 minute drive. They have some pantry items, cute gifts, apparel, and hand scooped ice cream.A few things to be aware of: there are no closets in the bedrooms and some hooks for hanging towels but nothing for clothes, so finding spots to keep things organized was a bit of a challenge. The road leading to the cabin is very narrow and can get crowded with overflow parking from Old Man’s Cave, especially on weekends. One-way traffic was an issue for us on Saturday, so we recommend taking the north route when leaving the property for the day. Also, if there's heavy rain in the forecast, be prepared—during our stay we lost power twice due to storms, and on our departure day, all the nearby roads were flooded. We had to drive through some very high water to continue east to our next stop. (The power outages were widespread, not just our cabin.) Communication with the host cold have been better. The day we decided to leave the property early we notified the host but never heard back from them. We tried to let them know we couldn't start the dishwasher on checkout because the power was out.Despite those things, we really enjoyed the cabin and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet retreat—just plan ahead if weather might be a factor.
We just stayed at the Black Bear Hideaway and absolutely loved it! It was so clean and beautiful. The quality of the amenities was excellent. The layout of the cabin was perfect for our family and we can't wait to go back!!
My family recently rented the Buckeye Loft cabin outside of Logan. The rustic charm of the cabin was ideal for our getaway. It's central location the forest and attractions in Hocking Hills was excellent. It was definitely worth more than we paid! Everything was nicely kept. The only thing that could possibly be improved was the shower- not because it was unclean- it's just showing it's age pretty significantly.
